Founded in 1985 in a small warehouse, just outside of San Diego, CA, PC Power & Cooling was a pioneer in the early stage of enhancing personal computer operations through its innovative designs of cooling fans and power supplies. Our first products were a series of fans designed to make computers run cooler and quieter that led to the development of our market leading power supplies as enhanced graphics became the norm in computing. We led the market in these categories for many years as enhancing personal computers became a routine occurrence.
After changing hands, a couple of times through acquisition, we are back as PC Power & Cooling and on a mission to lead the market once again in PC power. Building on the PC Power & Cooling power supply legacy, we take pride in providing top of the line ultra-reliable and quiet products to our customers worldwide.

Larry Firestone is a founder and was named the CEO of FirePower Technology, Inc. in February 2014. Mr. Firestone is an industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing and industrial companies and a strong track record of turning companies around and delivering profitable growth and gaining market share while achieving recognition for high quality and outstanding customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining FirePower, he was the President and CEO of Qualstar Corporation, a publicly held power supply and data storage company, chief financial officer of X-IO Storage a privately held data storage company and prior to X-IO Storage he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Advanced Energy a publicly held power conversion company. Prior to Advanced Energy he held both CFO and COO positions at various other public and private companies.
Mr. Firestone holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in Accounting from Slippery Rock State College.
Jorge A. Buxo joined PC Power & Cooling on December 2016. Prior to joining PC Power he was most Recently Regional Sales Manager – Southwest for Ria Corp. a leader in the money transfer industry. From 2011 – 2015 Mr. Buxo held the position of GM Central Strategic Business Unit for Sigue Corp. During his tenure with Sigue Mr. Buxo was named GM of the Year in 2013. Previously Mr. Buxo worked for 15 years at Western Union Corp where he held several positions among them VP Sales WU Convenience Pay, VP Sales Orlandi Valuta, Marketing and Product Director Orlandi Valuta and Area Director, St. Louis, MO. In addition he has held several marketing and sales positions for AT&T and ITT.
Mr. Buxo holds a bachelor degree in business administration with a concentration in Marketing from Saint Louis University.
Tiffiney Gustafson joined the FirePower Technology Team in February 2014 with over 18 years of experience in Power Management. Ms. Gustafson’s first 10 years of power management experience was with PC Power & Cooling Inc. (1996-2007), advancing from Customer Service Representative to General Manager before being sold to OCZ Technology Group where her experience in Sales, Operations & Power Management lead to her position as Operations Manager. During her 7 years at OCZ Technology Group (2007-2014) she played a pivotal role incorporating PC Power & Cooling products into OCZ’s Power Management Division. Ms. Gustafson also held senior positions, Office & Product Manager at Karnak Architecture & Planning (1991 – 1996) and as Flight Line Coordinator Palomar Airport 1989-1990. Education Saddleback College, Orange County, CA.
James Dickinson was appointed Quality Assurance Manager/Test Engineer of PC Power & Cooling in December 1995. Mr Dickinson has over 30 years technical experience in the power industry and has an excellent record of maintaining PC Power & Cooling’s quality as the “best in the business”. He served as supervisor of the RMA/Twin Power department of PC Power & Cooling from November 1994 to December 1995. He also has 12 years of engineering technician and test technician experience at various power companies.
Mr Dickinson studied Electrical Engineering at San Diego State University and Mesa College.
